Every morning I admire the brilliant pink sky as I drive East to work. I have a ritual of whispering the old phrase, "Red sky in morning, sailors take warning," to myself as I hope, wish, and will it to snow. It hasn't worked yet. It's been several weeks of red skies (in both morning and night- "sailor's delight") and predicted flurries, but nothing. People are jumping out of their skins as they wait for the ski hill to open. And I think that my Scrooge-like attitude in school has a lot to do with the brown, uninspiring landscape. So please, for the sake of my kids, please please snow!
We're getting snow as I type this. Hopefully you guys will get some, as well!

For the sake of the farmers and ranchers too.

been skiing twice already...including GREAT snow (if frustrating equipment) last weekend! Sorry to rub it in, but we're going to Killington this weekend...but its still just eastern skiing.

Well the phrase as I know it is:
Red sky at night, shepherd's delight; Red sky in the morning, shepherd's warning
